{"id":2974,"date":"2017-02-18T21:01:47","date_gmt":"2017-02-18T11:01:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.celestialtaichi.com.au\/?p=2974"},"modified":"2017-02-26T21:33:38","modified_gmt":"2017-02-26T11:33:38","slug":"2016-banquet-highlights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wrcsites.com.au\/ctc\/2016-banquet-highlights\/","title":{"rendered":"2016 Banquet Highlights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The College\u2019s 2016 banquet was held Sunday, 4th December and was again rated as very successful, with the 10 course meal being described as the most delicious ever.<br \/>\nA<strong>s with past annual banquets,<\/strong> we were<strong> treated to solo performances<\/strong> by <strong>Grand Master Eng Chor<\/strong> (Celestial Tai Chi Performance routine and Sun Tai Chi), <strong>Senior Master Chin Min<\/strong> (Dayan Qigong and Tai Chi 42), <strong>Master Su Rule<\/strong> (Yin Water Form) from Chi Generation Tai Chi and <strong>Master Yong Low (<\/strong>Taiji Yangsheng Zhang Stick routine).<br \/>\n<strong>Instructor Beng Yan<\/strong> and <strong>Senior Master Chin Min<\/strong> performed the 32 Yang Sword routine together.<br \/>\nThere was also a <strong>group performance of Ba Duan Jin<\/strong> (Eight Brocade Exercise) by Senior Instructors Suzette Hosken, Margie Brett, Margaret Rogers, and Instructors Joy Muir and Bruce Ellis \u2013 Senior Instructor Wally Wilkinson composed and provided the music for the group performance.<br \/>\nThis showcased the excellent quality and dedication of the Masters and Instructors of the Celestial Tai Chi College.<br \/>\nAgain,<strong> promotions<\/strong> in the College were <strong>announced:<\/strong>\u00a0 Senior Instructor Belinda Leong from the Doncaster and Hawthorn Centres; Instructor David Brogden from the Moonee Ponds and Preston Centres; and Assistant Instructors Margaret and Martin Bay from the Bundoora Centre.<br \/>\nSenior Instructor Snezana Dabic was again the MC and Senior Instructors Suzette Hosken arranged the audio visual display and Noel Schmidt videoed the performances.
